What is a Pan Faced Sign?

Pan faced signs are single or double-faced signs. Comprised of top-quality materials that include Sungard™ polycarbonate and 3M™ translucent vinyl, sign faces at Sign Crafters are manufactured with two PVI vacuum-forming machines that operate four tables.

How does a PVI vacuum-forming machine work?

Vacuum forming is a simplified version of thermoforming. A sheet of polycarbonate, translucent vinyl or other substrates is heated to a temperature that starts the forming. The substrate (material) is stretched onto a mold and forced by a vacuum.
